  2. Spring and Fall Clean Ups. 1930036 AB Inc Spring Clean Ups are available from April 15 – May 31, as determined by 1930036 AB Inc based on weather conditions and client demand. 1930036 AB Inc Fall Clean Ups are available from September 15 – October 31 (weather permitting as determined by 1930036 AB Inc). 1. Power Raking. A power rake will be used to remove thatch from the turf surface. Thatch is dead grass, leaves, stems, and other organic material that accumulate just above the soil. While some thatch is good for the lawn, too much will create a barrier that will prevent proper drainage and prevent oxygen and nutrients from reaching the root system. Thatch should naturally decay, but sometimes there can be an excess of thatch that can severely damage the lawn (more than 1/2 inch).

Premium Spring and Fall Clean Up packages include (in addition to the Standard package):

    1. Core Aeration. Soil compaction is an issue in high traffic areas or where heavy equipment has been used. Over time and without enough nutrients, soil can become compacted and not allow for adequate drainage. Without proper drainage and enough oxygen, the root system will be shallow and the lawn weak. During aeration, small plugs of soil and dead grass, or thatch, are removed to relieve compacted soil. The small holes that are made during aeration allow for more water, air, and nutrients to reach the roots, helping them to grow deeper and stronger, creating a more beautiful and healthier lawn. These small holes also provide ideal conditions for fertilizing in both Spring and Fall. Aeration is not recommended on lawns newer than 2 years old. Core Aeration will be performed using plug aerators only. All plugs will be left on the clients lawn in order to decompose at return the nutrients to the soil.
    2. Power Edging. (See Section 3. Power Edging).
    3. Fertilization. (See Section 4. Fertilization)

All possible surcharges, as outlined in Section 20 (Possible Surcharges) are applicable to each short term service visit.
  6. Overgrown Grass Surcharge. All quoted service prices assume that the turf surface has been maintained in a reasonable condition by the client (a grass length of 8” or less). In some cases, the client has not maintained their property conditions and the service time takes much longer than would be reasonably expected for 1930036 AB Inc to complete the mow. In these cases, an Overgrown Grass Surcharge will be assessed and applied to the service visit.
